Mont Tremblant, QC (May 28, 2025) – Eleven Canadian municipalities have won national awards of excellence from the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators (CAMA). The awards were presented in the areas of innovation, environmental leadership & sustainability, inspiring workplaces, and collaboration during an Awards of Excellence Ceremony held as part of CAMA’s national conference in Mont Tremblant, QC.
Winning efforts included a service request program, an emergency management program, a City Hall service centre transformation, an environmental corridor, a resource recovery centre, biodiversity conservation and urban forestry strategies, a leadership excellence program, a leadership essentials program, a leadership development program, a reconciliation ceremony, and a multi-community mentorship program.
“On behalf of the CAMA Board of Directors, I am pleased to recognize the excellence being demonstrated by local governments across the country,” said Tony Kulbisky, CAMA President, CAMA Representative for Alberta and CAO for Westlock County, AB. “The commitment being shown by these communities to support staff and serve citizens is inspiring.”
The following municipalities and projects were recognized, in four categories:

2025 CAMA Collaboration Award
“CAMA’s Awards of Excellence Program celebrates the best in local government and recognizes the professional municipal administration needed to deliver creative and successful programs, projects or services,” said Bev Hendry, Chair of the 2025 CAMA Awards Committee and CAMA Past President. “Each year we are amazed at the calibre of submissions received. Congratulations to the winners and everyone who submitted an entry.”
