CAMA Honours Municipal Administrators with Long Service Recognition Awards for 2026

Celebrating dedication and excellence in municipal leadership, the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators (CAMA) proudly acknowledges 107 outstanding municipal administrators from across Canada through its esteemed 2026 Long Service Recognition Awards.

During CAMA's National Conference hosted at the Whistler Conference Centre in Whistler, British Columbia, a special luncheon was held to present these prestigious awards to recipients receiving their 20, 25, 30, and 35 years of service, marking their remarkable contributions over the years.

“It is an honour to celebrate the careers of these remarkable professionals who have devoted decades to strengthening local government across the country,” said Brenda Orchard, President of CAMA and Chief Administrative Officer for Lennox-Addington County, AB. “Their dedication, leadership, and steadfast service have helped shape resilient, thriving communities and continue to inspire excellence in our field.”

In addition to the ceremonial presentations, CAMA has extended its gratitude to members commemorating 10 and 15 years of dedicated service through personalized letters of congratulations and recognition certificates sent out in April 2026.

The breakdown of 2026 Long Services Awards is as follows: Ten Years of Service – 29 awards; Fifteen Years of Service – 34 awards; Twenty Years of Service – 17 awards; Twenty-Five Years of Service – 9 awards; Thirty Years of Service – 6 awards; Thirty-Five Years of Service – 5 awards; and one award for Forty Years of Service. CAMA’s Long Service Recognition Awards program is designed to honor individuals based on their full-time, paid employment within local government, serving in management capacities such as Chief Administrative Officers (CAOs) or in roles directly reporting to them. Commencing after ten years of service, these accolades are bestowed in five-year intervals.
