CAMA Announces New National Award: The Jennifer Goodine Award for Inspirational Leadership

At its 51st Annual Conference in Mont-Tremblant, the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators (CAMA) proudly announced the establishment of a new national recognition: The Jennifer Goodine Award for Inspirational Leadership.

The announcement was made during the President’s Dinner, as a surprise tribute to Jennifer Goodine, Executive Director of CAMA, in honour of her 20 years of extraordinary service and unwavering dedication to the Association.

“Jennifer is admired for what I would call ‘inspirational leadership,’” said Tony Kulbisky, outgoing CAMA President and CAO for Westlock County, AB. “She fosters a sense of meaning and purpose for those around her, lifting others while making a positive impact herself. This award is a heartfelt tribute to her vision, strength, authenticity, and legacy within the municipal profession.”

Jennifer has been instrumental in shaping CAMA into the thriving national organization it is today. Her leadership has been defined by integrity, collaboration, empathy, and an unrelenting commitment to supporting municipal administrators across Canada.

The Jennifer Goodine Award for Inspirational Leadership will be presented for the first time at the 2026 CAMA Conference in Whistler, BC.  Further details on the award, including eligibility, nomination guidelines, and evaluation criteria, will be released in the coming weeks. As part of the announcement, Goodine was presented with a hand blown glass award featuring the CAMA brand colours and received a standing ovation from her peers. Her walk to the stage was set to Shania Twain’s “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!”—a fitting tribute to her bold spirit and enduring impact.
