The Town of Stewiacke, NS is located in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. Sequin has nearly 25 years of experience in both provincial and municipal government. He has built a diverse and well-rounded career across British Columbia, Ontario, and Nova Scotia.

Throughout his career, Seguin has demonstrated a strong commitment to innovation, problem-solving, and strategic leadership, consistently working to address complex challenges and advance Council priorities. 

In addition to his professional roles, he has contributed extensively through volunteer leadership, including serving on Team Nova Scotia’s Mission Staff for the Canada Games and as Chair of Sport Venues for the North American Indigenous Games in Halifax.

Seguin is dedicated to continuous learning and professional development. He recently earned a Certificate in Governance and Administration from Dalhousie University and has completed Incident Command System –Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management (ICS 100 and 200) certifications as part of his involvement with a regional Emergency Management Team.
