Delivering and Evaluating a Successful Program
You are almost ready for delivery--the final phase of the planning cycle. Before you launch your program, you will want to
- examine models for workplace learning and literacy
- determine questions for interviewing education providers
- learn from the success of others in the cities of Halifax, Moncton, and Winnipeg.
Successful programs build in ongoing evaluation to make improvements and track progress. As you focus on evaluation, you learn how to develop an evaluation strategy and see the benefits of both ongoing and final evaluations for programs, the joint committee, and the municipal organization.
Workplace learning programs need financial support, material resources, and personal assistance to start up and maintain momentum. To find out how other municipal organizations secured initial and ongoing funding for their programs you should research funding options. You can also get resources to help you promote, plan, and deliver your program. Both personal support and resource materials are available from CAMA, CUPE, and other national, provincial, and local organizations.
